The FontGen application has been added to the source section. This is an old application that we recent unearthed from our very old CVS repository. This Windows 2D bitmap font generating tool was long thought to have been lost in the digital ether. It's fairly basic in its functionality but it should serve as a solid base to build on. An updated version of the OpenGL 3 Framework has been added to the source section. Read more.

30 September 2011.
An updated version of the XNA 4.0 Earth Demo has been added to the demos section. This version sees the return of the starfield in the demo. The starfield was originally rendered as a point list but XNA 4.0 removed support for point primitives. As a result this version of the demo implements the starfield as camera-aligned billboard textures using the same techniques described in the XNA 4.0 Billboarding 4 Demo. Read more.

27 August 2011.
The latest version of the OpenGL 3 Framework has been added to the source section. This new update adds initial support for OpenGL 4.2. Read more.

The XNA 4.0 Billboarding 4 Demo has been added to the demos section. This demo builds on the XNA 4.0 Billboarding 3 Demo by showing you how to correctly render many billboards using a commonly used two pass rendering technique. Read more.

The XNA 4.0 Billboarding 3 Demo has been added to the demos section. This demo builds on the XNA 4.0 Billboarding 2 Demo by introducing vertex-based animation. Read more.

The XNA 4.0 Billboarding 2 Demo has been added to the demos section. This demo builds on the XNA 4.0 Billboarding Demo by introducing a shader based billboarding technique. Read more.

The latest version of the OpenGL 3 Framework has been added to the source section. This new update includes 2 new helper classes: Shader and Texture2D. Read more.

25 April 2011.
The OpenGL 3 Full Screen Quad Demo has been added to the demos section. This new demo shows you how to draw a quad that fills the entire viewport using shaders. Read more.

31 March 2011.
A new version of the XNA 4.0 Camera Demo has been added to the demos section. We have had many requests for a click-and-drag style of camera rotation using the mouse for the CameraComponent class. This new version introduces this new feature to the CameraComponent class. Read more.

28 February 2011.
The XNA 4.0 Billboarding Demo has been added to the demos section. This new XNA 4.0 demo shows you how to add camera facing sprites to your 3D applications using a technique called billboarding. Read more.

16 January 2011.
New screenshots have been uploaded for the XNA 4.0 demos.

15 January 2011.
All of the existing XNA 3.0 demos have been converted to XNA 4.0. The new demos still have the old XNA 3.0 screenshots. Updated screenshots will be uploaded soon. Read more.
